| Abstract: | This paper reviews the technical routes for chemicals production from carbide acetylene. Via technical and economical analysis, it is generally conceded that the longer range potential of acetylene as starting materials for the production of commodity chemicals is attractive, especially in some of the special regions which are abundant in coal, but lack of oil and natural gas. |
