| Abstract: | Precise knowledge of thermal history (quenching and annealing) of the phases of the quenched liquid crystal MBBA has permitted us, from powder X-ray data, to attribute unequivocally a previously published structure to the C4 metastable phase. Lattice parameters of the C3 phase are also proposed. |
