| Abstract: | For a shift-invariant subspace M of the two variable Hardy space H2, we consider the associated wandering subspace M0=M?zM. Then there exists a nonconstant function ? in H∞ such that ?M0⊆M0 if and only if M=qH2 for some inner function q. |
