Abstract: | In polymeric molecules, the self-trapping associated with the photoinduced polarization reversion (PPR) produces bond distortion and creates gap states. The relaxation processes of the bond distortion and the gap states are revealed by studying the dynamics of the photoexcitation. The switching speed associated with the PPR can be determined from the relaxation process. |
