Organosilane polymers: Formable polymers containing reactive side groups

Formable organosilane polymers containing various reactive side groups were synthesized by hydrosilylation of unsaturated compounds containing reactive groups with poly(methylsilane) in the presence of platinum complexes. These polymers have appreciable solubility in common solvents, can be molded or cast into films or drawn into fibers, and are photoactive.
