Abstract:A modification methed for HZSM-5 using (NH4)2S solution and the effects of sulfurization on structure and catalytic properties of HZSM-5 zeolites are deported. The contraction in lattice parameters (a, b and c) and the cell volume (abc) have been measured by XRD after sulfurization of HZSM-5 zeolites. It was found that the contraction degrees in lattice parameters (a, b and c) and the cell volume (abc) are dependent on the S concentration in (NH4)S solution. About 0.73% of S concentration in (NH4)2S solution is the most effective for the sulfurization of HZSM-5. The effect of sulfurization on acidity strength distribution of HZSM-5 was determined by NH3-TPD and catalytic cracking reaction of hexcane.
