| Abstract: | The indolizidinium alkaloid ipalbidinium and the quinolizidinium alkaloid clathryimine B were prepared starting from brominated 2-aminopyridines using two Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions and a Sandmeyer-type diazotation/iodination protocol as the key steps. |
