Abstract: | Summary Poly(acrylonitrile) and poly(methyl methacrylate) were grafted onto standard and chemically modified celluloses under various conditions using Ceric IV ion as a catalyst. Purified Chlorazol Sky Blue FF (C. I. Direct Blue 1) was used in dyeing the standard and modified cellulosic fabrics. Chemically modified celluloses were obtained by oxidation and cross-linking with various agents using standard procedures. Generally, grafting lowered the dye affinity, of standard and cross-linked celluloses. With 2 tables |
