Weylness of 2 × 2 operator matrices
Abstract:Let urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0001 and urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0002 be complex separable infinite‐dimensional Hilbert spaces. Given the operators urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0003 and urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0004, we define urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0005 where urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0006 is an unknown element. In this paper, a necessary and sufficient condition is given for urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0007 to be a right Weyl (left Weyl, or Weyl) operator for some urn:x-wiley:0025584X:media:mana201600424:mana201600424-math-0008. Moreover, some relevant properties and illustrating examples are also given.
