Abstract: | For H2 molecules colliding with Ar, Kr, Xe, CO2, N2 and SF6 the total collision cross section is measured, applying state selection to the H2 molecule. The preferential orientation of the H2 molecule in the J = 1, mJ = 0 state is used to determine the influence of the angular dependent part of the intermolecular potential. |
