Abstract: | Conclusions The reaction of iron carbonyls with sodium alkylthiolates proceeds by redox-disproportionation through one-electron transfer to form the Fe2(CO)8
, Fe3(CO)11 Fe4(CO)13
, and Fe3(CO)12
radical-anions. Fe2(CO)6(SR)2 and Fe3(CO)9(SR)2
