| Abstract: | Derivatives (dinitriles, anhydrides, imides, N-phenylimides) of substituted 1-phenylnaphthalene-2,3-dicarboxylic and 1-phenylphenanthrene-2,3-dicarboxylic acids were prepared by the reactions of 2-bromomethylbenzophenones with various dienophiles.
