| Abstract: | Angular dependences of the spectral radiance for bulk and surface polaritons in ZnSe films on an aluminium mirror have been investigated both experimentally and theoretically. A shift of a surface polariton branch to low frequencies has been observed. The difference between the surface polariton and the transverse optical phonon frequencies turned to be inversely proportional to the metal substrate conductivity. Theoretical results obtained are in good agreement with the experiment. |
