Abstract:	Complexes of the trimethylplatinum(IV) moiety with bidentate monobasic salicylaldimines C₆H₅(OH)CHNR (R = ethyl, propyl, phenyl) have been prepared and characterized by IR, UV and NMR spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The complexes are dimeric with double PtOPt bridges, and the metal appears to be pseudo-octahedrally hexacoordinated.
