| Abstract: | In the presence of electrophilic reagents cleavage occurs at the silicon-propargylic carbon bond of 1,3-bis(trimethylsilyl)propyne with rearrangement to an allene. This reaction is a method of synthesis for α-silylated allenic derivatives. |
