SYNTHESIS OF MeO-SiO_2:Eu~(3+),Bi~(3+)LUMINOPUORS BY THE SOL-GEL METHOD AND A STUDY OF THEIR LUMINESCENCE SPECTRA

The luminophors MeO-SiO_2:Eu~(3+),Bi~(3+)and MeO-SiO_2Bi~(3+)(Me=Mg.Sr)were synthesized at relativelylower temperature by the sol-gel method using the silica sol as a source of silica.The optimumcomposition and synthesis conditions were obtained by studying the excitation and emission spectraand the effects of energy transfer from the Bi~(3+)ions to the Eu~(3+)ions.
