| Abstract: | Paramagnetic absorption of Mo5+ has been studied in a polycrystalline TiO2 rutile lattice, The g tensor (gx = 1.897, gy = 1.920, gz = 1.857) and the hyperfine tensor (Ax = 32.7, (Ay = 51.2, (Az = 58.5 (in 10?4 cm?1)) are in agreement with those expected for an nd1 ion in an interstitial position. |
