| Abstract: | The growth of gold clusters vacuum deposited onto differently prepared carbon surfaces was studied by UV photoclectron spectroscopy. Variable photon energies were used to follow the evolution of band structure with cluster size. The development of electronic structure is markedly different for clusters formed on amorphous and annealed carbon substrates. |
