Abstract: | Using an MC SCF CI method, wavefunctions for the ground state 1∑+g and the excited states of the symmetries 1∑+g, 1Πg, and 1Δg of the Cs2+2 ionic system are generated. The potential curves for eleven 1∑+g twelve 1Πg, and six 1Δg states are calculated. Results suggest a small charge-transfer cross section for the reaction CS+ + Cs+ → Cs CS2+. |
