The materials and artifacts in the exchange network of the prehistoric Aegean

Abstract:The application of scientific techniques such as Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, Petrographic Thin Section Analysis, Neutron Activation Analysis and Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy allow to trace the origin and trading of pottery, figurines and metals in prehistoric Aegean times. The present state of knowledge is described. Paper presented at the 9th EuroConference on Ionics, Ixia, Rhodes, Greece, Sept. 15–21, 2002.
