| Abstract: | Efficient procedures have been developed for the synthesis of amino sulfides by aminomethylation of thiols with higher geminal diamines, thiomethylation of secondary amines with N,N-dimethylaminomethyl sulfides, and decyclization of 1,3,6-oxadithiepane or N-tert-butyl-1,5,3-dithiazepane with secondary amines in the presence of rare-earth and transition metals. |
