Abstract: | A novel two-dimensional coordination polymer, [Pb4(8-Quin)4(Tp)2(DMF)2] n (Tp = terephthalic dianion, 8-Quin = 8-Hydroxyquinolate, and DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The single crystal X-ray analysis shows that the complex is a two-dimensional (2D) polymer and the dimensionality is further increased to 3D as a result of weak C-H???? and C-H??O interactions. |
