| Abstract: | The analysis of the valence band photoemission spectra of Ce compounds is inspected. It is found that the data and the models agree in that they give a 4f hole state at a binding energy of  2 eV and a 4f band near (within 100 meV) the Fermi energy. The implications of photoemission data for the electronic structures of heavy fermion systems is discussed. |
