| Abstract: | An improved synthetic approach to conjugated monodendrons with unsymmetrical branching structures is reported. Dendrimers containing two or three such conjugated monodendrons are synthesized and their optical properties are studied. Such dendrimers exhibit broad absorptions and very high fluorescence quantum yields, making them promising candidates for applications in molecular-based photonics. |
