| Abstract: | This work presents the formulation of governing equations for a curved frame. An analytic method is also presented to examine the vibration of the curved frame. The orthogonality of any two distinct sets of mode shape functions of the frame is also derived. The forced vibration of the frame owing to a moving concentrated force is examined. The strain energy characteristics of the frame induced by the moving force are investigated as well. |
