Abstract:
The interaction between gold particles and support in Au/TiO2 and Au/Al2O3 catalysts prepared by immobilizing colloidal gold on the support was evidenced by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The reducibility of the support is more responsible than the interaction between the nanogold particles and support for the activity of catalysts.
