| Abstract: | The ionic and optical properties of an inclined-wall magnetic mass analyzer with electrostatic direction focusing of ions in a nonuniform (r ?1) magnetic field were studied. A condition for ion focusing in the radial plane was derived, and the basic parameters of the mass analyzer were determined. |
