A Geometrical Proof of Shiota's Theorem on a Conjecture of S. P. Novikov

Abstract:	We give a new proof of Shiota's theorem on Novikov's consecture, which states that the K.P. equation characters Jacobians among all indecomposable principally polarized abelian varieties.
