| Abstract: | Pyridoxine and pyridoxal are suitable for gas-chromatographic analysis after conversion into their trimethylsilyl derivatives. Silylation proceeds rapidly and quantitatively, pyridoxal reacting in its hemiacetal form. The mass spectra of both derivatives are discussed. |
