Abstract:XAFS was used to determine the changes of the neighboringchemical environment of iron catalysts.The coordination numbers of thefirst Fe/Fe shell for sulfur Poisoned catalysts decreased with the increase ofthe concentration of sulfur fed to catalyst. The variation of deactivation rateresulted from different sulfur compounds formed on catalysts The catalystparticle size increased during reaction or Poisoning processes.
