| Abstract: | We describe a double stage nuclear demagnetization refrigerator (4.2 moles of PrNi5 in 6 T and 10 moles of Cu in 8 T) which has cooled about 2 kg Cu to a measured electronic temperature of 50 μK. Temperatures are determined by NMR measurements of nuclear magnetization and from spin-lattice relaxation times of Pt and Cu. |
