| Abstract: | Summary Imidazole analogs of chalcones were synthesized by the reaction of 1-methyl-2 formyl-5-chloroimidazole with o-hydroxyacetophenones. Isomerization and oxidative cyclization of chalcones yielded imidazole analogs of flavonones and flavones.
