Stochastic saturation of three-drift-wave interaction at finite parallel wavelength

The interaction of three drift waves is considered at finite parallel wavelength. The coupling to ion sound waves has a profound effect on the saturation levels. For k_|L_n～ 1. turbulent amplitudes are of the magnitude $\text{eΦ?T}{}_{\mathrm{e}}\text{～}\text{1}\text{k}{}_{\mathrm{\perp }}\text{L}{}_{\mathrm{n}}$ as predicted by usual estimates, in contrast to previous studies neglecting this effect.
