| Abstract: | We investigate a mechanical system (forced nonlinear torsion pendulum). The state diagram is given as function of both the external driving frequency and the damping parameter. A bifurcation diagram is measured showing period doubling, chaos and periodic windows. The results are in qualitative agreement with the recent theory. |
