Absolute H(e, 2e)p cross section measurements: Comparison with first and second order theory

Although the first Born approximation is appropriate to describe the total and double differential cross sections of the electron impact ionization for intermediate and high collision energies, the comparison with triple differential cross sections shows that the validity of this theory is only accidental.
