Abstract: | Melamine can be detected in infant formula without the need for additional sample preparation or purification using a simple galvanic displacement reaction to fabricate portable silver SERS substrates. The reaction is rapid, inexpensive, and robust enough to perform well on highly heterogeneous common metal objects such as tape and coins. |
