Matrix-Effekt und Korngrößenverteilung bei der Röntgenfluorescenzanalyse von Feststoffen der Gewässer

Abstract:The intensity of the fluorescence of heavy metal traces, such as zinc, in waters can be described as a function of grain size distribution. Contrary to that of pure metals, it increases with grain size. For a parameter, the sample component in the grain diameter range below 6 μm is suited best. In the sediments of waste polluted waters, the same parameter is frequently found in close correlation to the zinc content of the samples. The analytical and practical consequences are discussed in the present paper.
