Abstract: | The Mössbauer study of the mixed magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole interaction in the paramagnetic state of amorphous Fe?Zr and Fe?Hf alloys is presented. Strong evidence for chemical short range order of the iron-pure alloys is found. The hyperfine parameters of the iron-rich alloys are marked by a complex applied field and temperature dependence, suggesting a not negligible spincorrelation well above Tc. |
