| Abstract: | This paper deals with the weak ligand field of d-shell by use of the unitary group approach (UGA). It specially discusses how to construct symmetry functions adapted to the group chain U(5)>SO(5)>SO(3)>G. The functions are built up using the Lie algebraic technique and expressed in terms of Gelfand states of the (5) group. |
