略论21世纪的中国ESP教学

摘    要:ESP作为当今世界上一门激动人心的、发展迅速的跨学科研究科目,在英语学习领域及许多其他领域都正获得越来越多的关注。随着21世纪的到来,ESP教师既面临巨大的挑战,又有着巨大的机遇。通过对中国的ESP教师在21世纪将要碰到的主要挑战的分析,对在新世纪如何改善中国的ESP教学,从ESP教师的培训、ESP的教学方法及ESP教材的选择等三个方面提出了一些解决措施。

Abstract:As an exciting fast-developing transdisciplinary subject of study in the world, ESP is gaining more and more attention in both English learning world and many other fields. Towards the 21st century, ESP teachers are facing both big challenges and great opportunities. Through the analysis of the main challenges ESP teachers may encounter in the 21" century. This article puts forward some feasible measures on how to improve the situation of China' s ESP teaching towards the new century from the perspectives of the training of ESP teachers, the teaching approach of ESP and the selecting of ESP materials.
