Generalization of Wick's theorem

The theorem of Wick, which provides a systematic scheme for calculation of matrix elements in quantum many-body theories, is generalized to cover problems in which non-orthogonal Slater determinants appear The power of the present theorem is demonstrated by an example in the framework of the complex molecular orbital method.
