| Abstract: | Combretastatins A-4 and AVE-8062A have been synthesized by coupling 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenylacetylene with the corresponding iodomethoxyphenol and bromomethoxyaniline, followed by hydrolysis of the thermally-stable Ti(II)-alkyne complexes. |
