| Abstract: | The Curie temperature of Co/Pt multilayers could be lowered by reducing the Co layer thickness, i.e., increasing the amount of 2-dimensional character and disorder or by the addition of transition metals such as Os or Re. The second method had the advantage over the first in that the inherent decrease in the Kerr effect was lower. |
