Incommensurate multisoliton regimes in the heavy fermion UPt3 superconductor

We were able to observe a certain type of defects in the heavy fermion superconductor UPt₃, using electron microscopy in the dark-field imaging mode. We have identified this type of defects as discommensurations since the high-resolution transmission electron microscope shows a translational shift across the wall of these discommensurations.
