Abstract: | A detailed study of the focal shift of partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams is made on the basis of the beam coherence-polarization (BCP) matrix approach. It is shown that, apart from the Fresnel number and truncation parameter, the focal shift of PGSM beams depends on the angle of polarizer and the ratio of degree of spatial coherence. |
