Reactions of aziridine-2-carboxylic acid derivatives with aldehydes and ketones

The reaction of methyl aziridine-2-carboxylate with hydrazine or alkylhydrazines gives the respective hydrazides, which with ketones form 2,2-disubstituted 1,3,4-triazabicyclo-4.1.0] heptan-5-ones. With aldehydes they form the respective hydrazones.
