Étude de neutrons retardés de la réaction 10Be+11B

The decay of delayed neutrons following the bombardment of a ¹⁰BeO target with 30–40 MeV ¹¹B ions exhibits half-life components consistent with the production of the known activities ⁹Li, ¹⁶C and ¹⁷N. A previous suggestion that ¹⁹N was formed in the ¹⁰Be(¹¹B, 2p)¹⁹N reaction and decayed with $\text{T}\text{1}\text{2}\text{≈ 0.4}$ s is therefore not confirmed. Evaporation-type calculations show a low cross section for the formation of ¹⁹N.
