CW Thomson scattering from a low electron density hydrogen plasma using a photon counting technique

Abstract:Thomson scattering from a low electron density (3×1012cm?3) stationary hydrogen plasma was performed using a 3 watt CW argon ion laser along with a photon counting technique. An estimation is given for the laser power required for CW Thomson scattering in pulsed plasma experiments.
