Palladium‐catalyzed carbonylative cyclization of 1‐bromoallyl bromides with anilines leading to 1‐aryl‐1H‐pyrrol‐2(5H)‐ones |

| Abstract: | 1‐Bromoallyl bromides are carbonylatively cyclized with anilines under carbon monoxide pressure in DMF in the presence of a catalytic amount of a palladium catalyst along with a base to give the corresponding 1‐aryl‐1H‐pyrrol‐2(5H)‐ones in moderate to good yield.
