Tentative Study of Cloud Ecosystem and Regulation

Cloud computing has proven a major commercial success over recent years and will play a large part in the ICT domain over the next decade or even longer. Plenty of challenges arise from exploiting the cloud capabilities to their full potential, involving both technological and non-technological issues. In this paper, we take a close look at the commercial and business aspect that plays a significant role in ensuring viability of Cloud systems. To these belong in particular Cloud ecosystem, business roles and value chain. We also discuss how to set up the right regulatory framework to facilitate the uptake of cloud computing.
